Merit List Calculation Rule
- The merit list is prepared strictly based on the percentage of aggregate marks obtained in Matriculation / Class 10.
- Marks from all subjects in Class 10 will be taken into account. A “best-of-five” subject calculation is not allowed.
Tie-Breaking Rules
If two or more candidates secure identical marks:
- Age Preference: The older candidate will be placed higher on the merit list.
- Passing Date: If the date of birth is also identical, preference is given to the candidate who passed Matriculation earlier.
Candidates shortlisted via the merit list will subsequently undergo:
- Document Verification (DV)
- Medical Fitness Verification
Similar to other railway recruitment drives such as the RRC NCR Prayagraj Apprentice Recruitment 2026, selection depends entirely on accurate academic details and document authenticity.
Apprenticeship Training and Stipend
- Training Framework: Selected candidates will undergo Act Apprenticeship Training governed by the Apprentices Act, 1961.
- Training Period: Duration will be determined based on applicable trade rules.
- Stipend: A monthly stipend will be paid at prescribed rates as per Railway Board guidelines. Note: The official recruitment notice does not state a fixed stipend figure, so candidates should rely only on official Railway Board notifications.
